Tyre Pressure Calculator
Traditionally it has always been recommended that Cold Inflation Pressures be checked when possible as this is the most reliable indicator . Note it can take up to 18 hours for a tyre to cool down depending on the prevailing conditions .
Tyre Pressure Calculator Information
The Tyre Pressure Calculator establishes a Modulated Site TKPH value for each set of Site Haul Conditions, and then determines an Adjusted Inflation Pressure recommendation for that operation.
Inflation Pressure adjustments are based on Ambient Temperature , Excess Tyre Load, Site Altitude and whether tyres are inflated Dry or Wet. The calculator determines Hot Internal Air Chamber Temperature and then the Theoretical Hot Pressure.
There are a number of simple inputs required to accurately determine the ideal Tyre Inflation Pressure for a specific site location. By adopting these pressure adjustments it should achieve better Fleet Pressure consistency .
To get the best out of the Calculator it is recommended that Master Pressure Gauges be checked for accuracy and be certified every year .
